Wash Your Jeans as Less as Possible
So my first tip is to wash your jeans as little as possible. You can help to save water if you reduce the number of times you wash your jeans. I used to wash my jeans in every 10 wears but I know that’s not for everybody. By doing this you can offset your carbon footprint by over 80 percent. I know that sounds tough so something I like to do is after wear I’ll hang my jeans from the bathroom and the steam from the shower will help relax the wrinkles and refresh the Jean.
Never Keep Your Jeans with Any Kind of Odor
Tip number two is how you can make sure that you don’t have jeans with odor so one thing you can do is just spritz your jeans with the fabric spray and hang them on a chair to release the odor. This will actually help keep them fresh between wears.
Never Use Hot Water to Wash Your Jeans
My third tip never use heat. It is actually a common myth with denim care that the heat will shrink your jeans back after wear. The elastin in the denim will actually be destroyed by the heat and over time they won’t be able to retain their shape. So instead we recommend using cold water whenever you do wash and making sure that you air dry.
Always Use Mild Detergent
My fourth tip is about keeping your jeans from fading. Personally one of the things that I love the most about denim is the character of the fabric and how it fades with time. And where it really allows your jeans to become personally yours however, if that’s not for you. An easy thing that you can do is to turn your jeans inside out whenever you do wash them make sure to use a mild detergent. Bleach will often strip the Indigo out of the denim so using a mild detergent will make sure that they last longer in terms of color and fade.
Hand Wash Your Jeans
My fifth tip is to wash your jeans by hand if possible instead of putting in the washing machine. Sometimes you may use soft brush to remove unwanted mark from the denim. Washing machine may harm your denim cloths. This will help to provide your long lasting service.
Air Dry Your Denim Cloth
Air drying is our next tip. Air drying denim is something that a factory Can reduce 85 percent of the energy usage at the time of production of denim. I know air drying can sometimes give the denim a crunchy feeling to get them to soften up. You can put them in the dryer on low heat for five minutes and this will make them soft again.
